The Alpha Gamma Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority launched Black Dollar Days in June as an initiative to intentionally support Black-owned businesses and promote economic empowerment. The chapter exceeded its financial goal by 40 percent, spending more than $16,450 at 89 different Black-owned establishments spanning over 40 cities in at least 10 states. Members patronized diverse businesses including restaurants, fitness studios, insurance agencies, and retail shops, with one partnership event alone generating $3,800 in purchasing power.
